Infants are defined as persons between the ages of 0 to 3 years. Children are defined as persons between the ages of 4 to 14 years.

Infants will not be allocated a seat and must travel on the accompanying adults lap utilizing the lap belt provided. Two infants may not be seated on the lap of one adult.

Evidence of age may be requested by Stewart Island Flights Staff if the infant/child’s age is in question. Failure to provide sufficient evidence may require those to purchase a child/adult fare at check-in.

Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.
