LATAM » Children Flying Alone Policy
Children aged between 7-12 years old may travel with LATAM as Unaccompanied
Minors (UM) provided the necessary form and procedures are complied with.

Note: Those aged between 13-16 may travel alone or as an Unaccompanied Minors
at their parent/guardian’s request. LATAM will not accept carriage of an
unaccompanied minor without the UM Form completed in full. They’re available at
check-in or pre-printed from LATAM website.
The parent/guardian responsible for collecting the UM is required to be at the
airport prior to the scheduled arrival time. Please make yourself known to the
LATAM ground crew.
All UM bookings must be made through reservations.
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be
Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an
unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or
her safety.
