Children aged 5 to 12 years unaccompanied with over 13 years old passenger are permitted to travel with Korea Air for domestic flights.

For International flights,

Children aged 5 to 11 years travelling alone with the following condition apply:

  - When a person accompanying the child is under 18.
  - When the accompanying adult does not travel in the same cabin class.
  - Children aged 12 to 16 years travelling alone are optional.

Service charges for children aged 5 to 12 years is ticketed as normal adult fare for domestic flights.

Service charges for International flights:

Children aged 5 to 11 years:

Standard adult fare + KRW 150,000 each segment (USD 150, CAD 150 and IDR 2,140,000 for flights departing from the US, Canada, and Indonesia, respectively) or 15,000 miles

Children aged 12 to 16 years

Standard adult fare + KRW 200,000 each segment (USD 200, CAD 200 and IDR 2,860,000 for flights departing from the US, Canada and Indonesia, respectively) or 20,000 miles.

Please request the service through the Korean Air Service Center at least 24 hours before departure and confirm service.

You will need to provide appropriate identity and contact information of the parent/guardian for both departure and arrival destinations.

Korean Air staff will accompany your children traveling alone from their departure point through to their destination, making sure the journey is safe and comfortable every step of the way.

If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.
