Passengers traveling with Emirates can Check-in conveniently with the check-in
options provided as below:
Online Check-in
Emirates' provides online check-in service for most locations in the network.
Online Check in open 48 hours and closed 90 minutes before your scheduled
departure time. You can drop off your bags 24 hours before departure, or 12
hours before departure if you’re flying to the US, and you can collect your
boarding pass or download a digital one to use at most airports.
You must be departing from an airport that allows online check-in. However, all
customers still need to go to the airport check‑in counter so we can verify your
documents and issue your boarding pass.
You may have the option of printing an e-Boarding pass, depending on departure
city. Otherwise you will pick up your boarding pass at the airport from a
self-service kiosk.
Please note that online check‑in is not available if the first flight in your
itinerary is not an Emirates flight. This applies to all codeshare flights that
are not operated by Emirates.
Self Check in Kiosk
It’s easy and quick to check in for your flight using the self check in kiosks.
Simply follow the step by step instructions on the touch screen to complete the
whole process without having to visit airport desks.
Use the bag drop kiosks to check in your bags at the same time. You can also
view your itinerary, choose your seat and add your Emirates Skywards number.
If you’ve already checked in online, you can use the kiosks to check in your
bags.
You can use the self-service check-in kiosks and bag drop at the check-in area
in Terminal 3,
Dubai International Airport if you're travelling to any destination except
US and Canada.
Airport Counter Check-in
If you are checking baggage, Emirates recommends you arrive at the airport 90
minutes before your flight's departure time.
If you are not checking baggage, Emirates recommends you arrive at the airport
60 minutes before your flight's departure time.
If not using online check-in, Emirates recommends that Economy Class passengers
arrive at the 3 hours before your flight's departure time.
If not using online check-in, Emirates recommends that First and Business Class
passengers arrive at the 1 hour before your flight's departure time.
Reminder
Please leave extra time to present your travel documents and reach your gate on
time.
3 hours: Get to the airport no later than 3 hours before departure.
60 minutes: Go through security no later than 60 minutes before departure.
45 minutes: Boarding starts 45 minutes before your flight, and gates close 20
minutes before departure.
