Passengers traveling with China Airlines can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:

Online Check-in

The Internet e-Check-In service helps save time at airports. You can check in via the Internet 1.5 - 48 hours before departure. After checking in, you are provided with options to select your seat. At airports where this service is applicable, you can choose to print the boarding pass yourself or use the mobile boarding pass service. This provides a simple procedure and extra functionalities that allow you to save time at airports.

Kiosk Check-in

China Airlines provides self check-in service at many airports, you can enjoy the convenience of obtaining your boarding passes or baggage tags from airport check-in kiosk. A self check-In kiosk enables you to quickly check-in for an international flight with your passport and then select your seat. You can also check-in other passengers who share your booking record.

Airport Check-in

Allow plenty of time to complete check-in and the necessary security, immigration and/or customs formalities. Hours of operation for China Airlines check-in counters and the time required for pre-boarding procedures vary at different airports.

At a minimum, China Airlines recommend that you check in one hour before the scheduled departure time for international flights, but you may need three hours in large, busy airports with strict procedures such as those in the U.S. If you are a passenger with special needs or considerations, e.g. unaccompanied minor, disabled, deaf, blind, use a wheelchair or walker, etc., and need assistance to complete check-in and pre-boarding procedures, it is recommend that you check in at least two hours before scheduled departure time.

It is very important that you check in on time because your reserved seat could be released and you could be denied boarding if you are late. Passengers traveling internationally should be at the gate at least 30 minutes before departure.

Please confirm counter operating hours and recommended check-in times for the airport you will be departing from by contacting the China Airlines Airport Office.

Remark

Please be informed that starting from June 15, 2018, check-in counter for all CI/AE operating flights (excluding CI/AE code-share flights operated by other code-share partner carriers) and IT129/CI8609 international flights at Taoyuan International Airport will be closed 60 minutes prior to departure.
